The Pulitzer board announced Monday that it will consider entries from online-only publications for the 14 journalism categories…

Any organization interested in submitting stories for Pulitzer consideration can be online or print but must publish at least once a week, be U.S.-based publications, and be dedicated to original reporting.

Pulitzers, presented by Columbia University, are awarded for excellence in newspaper journalism, literary achievements, and musical composition.

Toni Morrison
David McCullough

Board members responsible for choosing award recipients include New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman and Columbia University President Lee Bollinger.
