You don’t have to be slick to attract an audience on YouTube.
When I first started posting videos last month I assumed the most watched videos were highly stylized.
The reverse appears to be true.
One of the most popular YouTube ‘channels’ features a woman sitting on her bed discussing the origins of words.
My favorite channel features a young lady who produces comedy shorts and makes very minimal use of camera tricks.
Point, Shoot, Produce
My YouTube channel has been produced using only a Flip Mino video recorder ($159.99 at Best Buy) and my three year old Canon PowerShot digital camera.
While I can’t boast an audience of millions, over 3,000 users have viewed my homemade productions.
The most popular videos are the ones which mix humor, originality, and straighforward speaking the best.
