How I Use Facebook

by Joe on December 31, 2008

Facebook is a Personal Messenger

facebook_picFacebook lets me share stories, conversations, and snapshots of my everyday life with all of my friends 24-7.

I use Facebook to share blog posts.

And videos.

Sure, I like to comment on friends ‘walls’ to see how they are doing.

Even better though, try shooting a video with your Flip Mino, uploading to YouTube, and sharing the link with a friend, colleague, or loved one on Facebook.

Facebook is More Than Just Entertainment

Some people argue that Facebook is just for entertainment.

For me it’s more than that. When my Mom calls me to say how thrilled she was to watch a homemade video of my Christmas in Vermont (she lives in Michigan), that’s powerful communication.

Once a coworker watches a video describing the joys of sushi that they want to try for the first time, I’ve deepened our relationship.

That’s a great explanation of how I use Facebook: to deepen relationships with people I care about, both personally and professionally.
